Hmm, thinking a 1GB RAM upgrade for my MacBook would be a good idea when I have the cash

don't you have 2GB by default in your machine? Mine does and it's fine for my needs

I don't think so because it seems to only apply to American and Canadian users although I wonder if there won't be a SA deal too?

yes it wil apply to you - you need to call The Core group and find out cause this happened when I bought my iBook and a few weeks later Tiger was launched. I got a free DVD upgrade

You will see and feel the difference.

I had an iMac with 1GB of RAM, adding another to make 2GB made a real difference.
